On 6th of November 2022, Sacred Heart Church, Madanthyar organised Senior Citizens' Day under the leadership of parish pastoral council, Catholic Sabha and SVP. Nearly 250 senior citizens were present for the program. It began with Eucharist celebration at 9.30am celebrated by Rev Fr Antony Sera along with parish priest Rev Fr Basil Vas and other priests of the parish.

After the mass Rev Fr Antony Sera addressed the senior citizens and appreciated them for what they are as a gift to the family.

At the end all were honoured. Program concluded with the fellowship meal.
