Construction of temporary mud barrier to a stream at Sonandur village by ICYM Madanthyar

Dec. 6: ICYM Madanthyar unit in collaboration with St Joseph Ward had organized a programme of building a Temporary mud barrier to a Stream that passes through Sonandur village, Kolpedabail, Madanthyar on 29th of November. The aim in constructiong the barrier to the water stream was to provide store the water and help the agriculturists residing besides the river in case of water scarcity.

The village is involved in number of agricultural works and they require the water in Summer season. Keeping this in mind, ICYM members along with the villagers organized this unique programme which would help the villagers in their routine.

The Parish Priest of Sacred Heart Church Madanthyar Rev Fr Basil Vas, Asst parish priest Fr Alwyn Dsouza and Sacred Heart College novelist Dr. Joseph N.M were present on the day.
